Biography

Dr. Alfred Lim is an Assistant Professor in the School of Psychology at the ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ Malaysia. He holds a PhD in Psychology, an MSc in Information Technology, and a BSc in Computer Science. He has industry experience as a Data Scientist in the biotechnology sector, with a focus on cognitive assessment. This was followed by a postdoctoral fellowship at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, where he developed expertise in high-performance computing methods applied to psychology.

Dr. Lim's research sits at the intersection of cognitive neuroscience and computational science, using tools like EEG/ERP, machine learning, and brain-computer interface methods to understand how the brain produces behavior, spanning learning, attention, and skill acquisition. This work increasingly draws on computational and data science approaches, from building predictive models of cognition to applying AI/ML to neural and behavioral data.
