A rather special Memory Lane as one of our video team sat down with his grandad and ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ alumnus Philip Shakesheff (Industrial Economics, 1969).

Philip recalls what life was like on campus over 50 years ago; sharing his memories of his time in halls, his 'tutorials', 'Rag Week' activities (including building the floats which were driven into ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ city centre) and the perambulator race around University Park!

He also shares what is was like watching the first moon landing in a packed Portland Building back in 1969.
