Biography

I obtained my undergraduate degree (MChem Chemistry with Professional Practice) from ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ Trent University in 2017. After working at contract research organizations in the pharmaceutical and agricultural science industry as an analyst, I began a PhD at ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ Trent University. My thesis focused on the development of a novel ambient ionization source for mass spectrometry which could perform encoded internal mass recalibration. After finishing my PhD, I moved to the ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ in 2022.

Current Research

Working with Professor Neil Oldham, my work focuses on the application of a novel protein footprinting technique to commercial samples. The technique uses a diazirine label to map non-covalent protein-ligand and protein-protein interaction sites, analyzed by LC-MS/MS.
