NCI Summer School 2026 Celebrates Record Participation and Four Weeks of Language, Culture and Friendship

The ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ Confucius Institute (NCI) has successfully concluded its largest-ever Summer School, bringing together a record 80 participants for four weeks of Mandarin learning, cultural discovery and friendship.Held every Wednesday evening from 8 to 29 July, the Summer School welcomed a wonderfully diverse group of learners, including ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ staff and students alongside members of the local community, ranging in age from 10 to over 70. Participants joined one of six classes, from complete beginners taking their first steps in Mandarin to advanced learners further developing their language skills.

ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ Confucius Institute Hosts Annual Local Teacher Training Event

On Sunday 5 July 2026, the ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ Confucius Institute (NCI) welcomed around 30 Mandarin teachers from across the region to the Si Yuan Centre at the ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½'s Jubilee Campus for its annual Local Teacher Training event. Designed to support the continuing professional development of Mandarin teachers, the event provided a valuable opportunity to explore current teaching approaches, exchange best practice and strengthen professional networks.
