Biography

Rivers provide essential ecosystem services, but also create significant risks. Over the past two decades, river management has transitioned to more holistic, catchment-based approaches. In the UK, freshwater monitoring and management is at a critical moment post Brexit and during significant public interest in sewage and plastic waste.

My work aims to use a novel, interdisciplinary approach to understand and enhance dialogue at the research-policy interface. It aims to bridge the gap between scientific research and practical policy implementation to foster sustainable water resource management practices.
