Event Information

The Human Rights Law Centre is pleased to support the Lawyers Without Borders Student Society in their upcoming event, Careers in Human Rights Law: Diverse Perspectives from Practice. A portion of the proceeds from the event will be donated to ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ Hospitals Charity.

We are excited to be joined by an excellent line-up of speakers, including:

  • Alexus McNally, Teaching Associate, ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½; Project Lead at Incarceration Nations Network;
  • Gbemi Akinyoso, Paralegal at TLT LLP;
  • Lorenza Cocco, Human Rights Manager at Novartis;
  • Sumaiyah Kholwadia, Assistant Professor at the ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½;
  • Victoria Miyandazi, Assistant Professor in Public Law at the ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½.

The event will feature a panel discussion followed by a catered networking session, during which will additionally be joined by Amir Nikfekr (Partner at Lace Law LLP); Sheikh Zameer Qadri (Solicitor at Burton & Burton); Laura Wills (Solicitor at Duncan Lewis); and Victor Kattan (Assistant Professor in Public International Law at the ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ School of Law).

This event will take place on Wednesday, 6 May at 18:30 in the Council Room, Trent Building.
