Dr Shuwei Ma, Lecturer in Music at Jiangsu University, will research a project on Alban Berg's opera Wozzeck at the department until May 2014. She will be joined in January 2014 by Dr Jihong Zhang, Associate Professor at the Shanghai Conservatory of Music, who will spend a year working on a study of romantic opera.
Both academics were attracted to ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ by research in these areas.
