will be presenting an invited paper at a conference in Bergamo on 17 October 2015, on the (once) famous 18th-century castrato singer Luigi Marchesi.
He will be reconstructing Marchesi’s improvisation techniques from alterations written into manuscripts relating to his London performances as Giulio Sabino, at the King's Theatre, Haymarket, in 1788.
