Denis Arnold Music Library changes for 2026-27
As part of wider changes to library provision, Denis Arnold Music Library will no longer be a staffed library space from 1 August 2026.
We’ll be working over the summer to relocate high-use and high-demand items, resources on reading lists and print journals to Hallward Library. The library will be closed whilst changes are made to the space.
More detail about plans for Music Library space will be shared ahead of the new academic year.

Accessing library resources

Some items may not be available on the shelves whilst resources are being moved to Hallward Library.
For access to resources from Music Library, please email library-helpline@nottingham.ac.uk or call 0115 95 16393 providing details of the resource you wish to borrow.
Denis Arnold Music Library has:
- door access via level front door
- library on the ground floor
- accessible unisex WC in the School of Music
- parking for blue badge holders nearby
- Hearing Loop situated at reception desk
