The 6th Forum on Manufacturing Paradigm III (FMP3) will be held at the ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½, United Kingdom. As an international forum dedicated to the advancement of Atomic and Close-to-atomic Scale Manufacturing (ACSM), FMP3 focuses on the scientific and technological frontiers that are shaping the next revolution in manufacturing.
Since its first forum in 2019, FMP3 has brought together leading scientists, engineers, and industrial innovators from around the world to explore the forefront of Manufacturing Paradigm III. The forum centers on three pivotal areas: atomic-level precision processing and measurement, atomic-level construction and functional device creation, and atomic-scale manufacturing for future industries.
Originally established by Professor Fengzhou Fang in 2012, the theory of the Three Paradigms of Manufacturing Advancement reveals an inherent law governing the evolution of manufacturing. This theory identifies atomic and close-to-atomic scale manufacturing as the inevitable next stage of manufacturing development, driven by the growing demand for ultra-precision, functional determinism, and atomic-level controllability.
By convening internationally recognized experts and fostering interdisciplinary dialogue, FMP3 provides a high-level platform for advancing the theoretical foundation, technological capability, and industrial deployment of ACSM. The forum is committed to promoting cross-disciplinary collaboration and accelerating the translation of frontier manufacturing research into strategic sectors such as semiconductors, quantum information, and new energy technologies.
Key discussions at FMP3 will address the development of theoretical systems, mechanisms for interdisciplinary collaboration, bottlenecks in core equipment technologies, and barriers to industrialization. Through sustained dialogue across academia and industry, the forum aims to promote the deep integration of fundamental research, process and equipment innovation, and industrial application, while fostering synergy between innovation chains and entrepreneurial ecosystem.
