On 8 May at 3pm British time, Professor Kevin Bales will sit down to answer questions about contemporary slavery on the popular social news and discussion website Reddit. Reddit maintains a forum dedicated to allowing its users to ask questions to renowned persons. President Obama and Bill Gates both participated in an AMA (Ask Me Anything) in the past. Now, ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½'s own Kevin Bales will do the same in an effort to spread the word about how people can get involved in the global camapign to end slavery.
At the ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½, Kevin is launching two educational initiatives with this goal in mind: a free, massive open online course (MOOC) entitled and a Master of Arts programme called "Slavery and Liberation." The MOOC will start on 8 May, the day of the Reddit AMA, and is already open for registrations. The MA will begin this September and is available as a distance-learning course.
