Team Thunderchild
A team of academics, students and postdocs from Cancer Biology took part in the ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ Hospital Charity Dragon Boat Race held on 23rd April at Trent Embankment and won first prize for the fastest boat! The team name, HMS Thunderchild, was taken from the film War of the Worlds and adopted an alien fancy dress theme.
Headed up by Team Captain, Dr Richard Hulse, Thunderchild raced to the finish line to gain victory over 13 other boats. A grand total of £845.46 was raised by the team. Thank you to everyone who donated and took part in the race.
