HLGC will be joined by Dr Charlotte May from the ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ Manuscripts and Special Collections.
This session will provide an introduction to the legal documents that Manuscripts and Special Collections hold, with a specific focus on the complexities of manorial estates. This seminar will then discuss the challenges and opportunities of working with these documents, from handling medieval manuscripts in the reading room to considering the copyright limitations on using unpublished documents. Manuscripts and Special Collections holds 3.5 million items, 80,000 rare books, and also includes the University’s Museum of Archaeology.
This is a great opportunity to hear more about the archival holdings the ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ have, which are really impressive.
