Dr Cyril Atkiinson-Clement is a cognitive psychologist with expertise in movement disorders and ultrasound stimulation.
Dr Atkinson-Clement obtained his PhD in Aix-en-Provence (France; 2014-2017) on speech impairment related to movement disorders (mostly Parkinson’s disease). He then obtained a first research fellow position in Paris (France; 2018-2021) on cognitive impairments related to Tourette syndrome. He obtained his second research fellow in ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ (UK, 2022-2024) on transcranial ultrasound stimulation. Cyril is currently on his third research fellow position at the University of ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ (UK, 2024-2026) to apply ultrasound stimulation on patients with Tourette Syndrome.
Altogether, he has developed different skills and expertise, in movement disorders (mostly Tourette Syndrome, Parkinson’s disease, Dystonia), neuroimaging (mostly MRI and PET) and neurostimulation (mostly Deep Brain Stimulation, Transcranial Ultrasound Stimulation and Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation).
