We are often asked to recommend some introductory reference books for new students on our courses. Here are some suggestions which provide a good introduction to the subject areas we teach and to our research interests.
It is not recommended that you buy, or even read, all of these: There is much overlap in the material they cover and some of them are quite expensive. However, reading through a well-chosen few should give you some useful background material.
Recommended purchase:
This book provides detailed coverage of the theory and application of forensic psychology. It takes a constructive and critical approach to the dominant theories, policy, and practices of today. For this reason, it is our recommended text.
