Better Evaluation of Evidence and Statistics (BEES) Course 2027This course will be approved by the Federation of the Royal Colleges of Physicians of the United Kingdom for 19 category 1 (external) CPD credits.
The aims of the course are to help:
a) improve your skills at critical appraisal when reading dermatological literature, and b) improve your ability to design and participate in clinical research projects.

The course is taught by Professor Hywel Williams in collaboration with epidemiologists and statisticians from The ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½.
Dermatological examples are used to illustrate concepts throughout the course.
The course is highly interactive with small group learning and although hard work, it is good fun!

The course uses the principles of epidemiology and statistics such as chance, bias and confounding to provide a framework to achieve these aims.
The main taught elements of dermato-epidemiology and statistics are part of the UK specialist trainee curriculum (see the ).
The course is primarily aimed at dermatology trainees and newly qualified consultants. However, it is also useful for others such as GPs, dermatology nurses and more experienced dermatology consultants who wish to re-visit and expand their skills.
