ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½

Triangle

Students spend part of their time at the partner institution and part of their time at the ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½. Distinct from mobility partnerships because partner students will receive a ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ award, we develop new teaching partnerships and support and manage our existing teaching partnerships.

Partnership model types

 Model Description
Progression   Students complete study at one institution before being considered for entry to a ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ programme.
Articulation  Students who satisfy academic criteria on one programme to be admitted with advanced standing to a subsequent stage of a programme at ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½.
Joint award   Two or more awarding bodies together provide a programme leading to a joint award (single certificate) made jointly by all participants.
Dual award   Students who successfully complete both programmes receive seperate institutional certificates, one for each of the two seperate qualifications, granted by each of the awarding bodies involved.
Joint supervision  University staff and staff of the partner institution jointly deliver supervision of postgraduate research students registered with the university and studying toward a ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ qualification only.

Working models

Over time the ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ has developed a number of successful model types for teaching partnerships. These include progression, articulation, dual and joint awards, as well as off-campus delivery and Academic Partner PhDs.
