Centres and networks - Classics and Archaeology

We are involved in a number of research centres, institutes and networks, at ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ and at national and international levels. 

This creates interdisciplinary links, brings visiting scholars to ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½, and connects us to other centres of research in the UK, Europe and beyond.

The key Centres based in the Department are listed below. We also work closely with , the Silk Road Centre (part of the Global Institute for Silk Road Studies), and the .

In addition to those listed below, we have relationships with many museums, galleries and other academic institutions, and are involved in a number of field projects. To find out more about these, view the section on individual research projects below.
