Mathematical Neuroscience

Mathematical Neuroscience at ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ is an interdisciplinary research hub dedicated to advancing our understanding of fundamental neurophysiological processes and their applications to societal challenges.

Linking up with colleagues in the Schools of Physics, Psychology, and Medicine, as well as the ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ Beacon in Precision Imaging, we pursue research projects ranging from single cell dynamics to neuronal circuits to whole-brain dynamics with applications to vision, spatial memory, neuroimaging, and psychiatry.

This broad research agenda is facilitated by the application and development of cutting-edge mathematical techniques across a wide range including network modelling, nonlinear dynamics, and stochastic processes.
