About the MCOP programme

Medical Crises in Older People was a 5 year project funded by a National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) programme grant, hosted in the Division of Rehabilitation and Ageing, School of Medicine, ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½, between 2008 and 2013. 

Project workstreams

The project comprised three workstreams, concerning the delivery of comprehensive geriatric assessment to the following groups of patients:

  1. frail older people discharged from acute medical units
  2. older people in acute hospitals with co-morbid mental health problems
  3. residents of care homes
