Biography
Vicky Owen is Programme Manager for Translational Research Collaboration: Mental Health, supporting the Mood Disorders and Psychosis workstreams within the School of Medicine at the ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½.
Her role focuses on coordinating complex multidisciplinary activity across academic, clinical, operational and external partner teams. She supports programme planning, governance, reporting, finance, risk management, stakeholder engagement, meetings and events, and the development of clear systems to help teams work effectively together.
Vicky has a strong background in university operations, senior executive support, event management, sales management, governance, stakeholder engagement and team management. Before joining TRC: MH, she worked in External Relations as Senior Executive Assistant to the Chief Marketing and Communications Officer, where she supported senior leadership, strategic projects, committee governance, operational delivery and cross-departmental coordination.
She also brings experience from customer-facing, events and sales environments, where she developed strong organisational, communication and relationship-building skills. She is particularly interested in improving how multidisciplinary teams collaborate, communicate and organise activity across complex programmes.
