Research in Mental Health and Clinical Neuroscience
We address key areas relevant to clinical neurosciences using a spectrum of methods. This includes embracing basic science, translational and experimental medicine, and clinical research including large randomised trials.
We conduct high quality research that:
- enhances our understanding of the causes, mechanisms and treatment of mental disorder and criminal offending across the lifespan
- promotes individual and organisational health and wellbeing
- improves policies, systems and the delivery of services in order to achieve these goals.
Much of this work is embedded in the NHS, particularly ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½shire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust and the ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ University Hospitals NHS Trust. We bring cutting-edge clinical care to our patients and clinical relevance to our research and teaching.
