Welcome! Researchers at the School of Psychology are doing a wide range of research activities in which people can take part, either by coming to the School of Psychology, or from home! Many of the tasks have been made into games to make sure the whole experience is enjoyable! This study explores the experiences of students who speak English as an additional language (EAL) when interpreting essay questions and feedback in higher education. We are interested in how EAL students understand what essay questions are asking, how they interpret written feedback from tutors, and any challenges they experience during this process. During the focus group, students will be shown examples of essay questions and feedback comments and asked to discuss how you interpret them, whether any aspects are unclear or difficult to apply, and what strategies you use to make sense of them.

Schizotypy and auditory rhythm processing.
|
This online study investigates the relationship between schizotypal personality traits and auditory rhythm processing. This will help to further our understanding of some of the cognitive impairments experienced by people with schizophrenia. Participants will complete a short-term rhythm memory task, and the O-LIFE questionnaire to measure schizotypal personality traits. Both the rhythm task and the questionnaire will be completed online.
