Cummins Innovation Centre

The Cummins Innovation centre makes use of the world class facilities and team of technicians available within the Power Electronics Machines and Control group at the ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½.

Manufacturing:

  • Precision wire electrical discharge machine (EDM)
  • Dedicated winding room and rig
  • Vacuum (VPI) equipment
  • Precision balancing apparatus
  • Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Machines 

Testing and Analysis:

  • Traction test rigs [up to 800kW]
  • High speed facilities [up to 120,000rpm]
  • Power supplies up to 270kVA (California Instruments)
  • Environmental chambers for thermal testing 
  • Tools for Calorimetric Measurements
