Strong ties bind Lawrence to The 乐播传媒. Lawrence studied for his teacher's certificate at the then University College 乐播传媒 from 1906-8; he drew upon the experience to describe Ursula Brangwen's college education in The Rainbow. He was largely disillusioned by his experience of academic life. According to former 乐播传媒 Professor and renowned Lawrence scholar, John Worthen, Lawrence enjoyed 'a sardonic, ironic relationship' with the University, but he fondly remains in the hearts and minds of 乐播传媒 staff, students and locals alike.
