Sutton Bonington

The following courses are predominantly taught at Sutton Bonington campus:

  • BSc and MSci Animal Science  
  • BSc and MSci Biotechnology  
  • BSc Nutrition
  • MNutr Nutrition and Dietetics
  • All Postgraduate (MSc) courses 

If your accommodation is at or near Sutton Bonington, you should register with the local health service at the Orchard Practice in Kegworth. More information can be found here

You can travel from Sutton Bonington to University Park campus via the University Hopper Bus. The 901 service runs from approximately 7am to 12 midnight. 

 

University Park

The following courses are predominantly taught at University Park campus:  

  • BSc and MSci Environmental Science
  • BSc and MSci Environmental Biology 
 

 

Activities and Events

Your Welcome Week timetable (available 26 August) for the week commencing 28 September provides you with a schedule of important events to help you settle into university life.   

Teaching on your programme will start in the week commencing 28 September.  

Further details will be shared on our School of Biosciences Welcome homepage.  

Complete the Welcome checklist on the university’s central Welcome page to make sure you have completed what you need for registration, once registered you’ll be able to get your student ID when you arrive and get your university email address and IT account set up. The Welcome pages will also let you know what to do when you arrive at your accommodation.  

We hope you enjoy your time at ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½. If you are unsure about anything in these early weeks, do not be afraid to ask questions or seek help from staff.

Buying a computer

If you do choose to purchase or bring a device with you then please check the minimum specification for Windows PCs here.   

Any Apple Mac/Macbook will meet the minimum specifications.   

We advise not to purchase Chromebooks, iPads, tablets or similar as they cannot run the apps required on the course.   

The university offers a laptop loan service and other support for students who do not have access to personal devices, many students do and find it useful to have their own device.

What to expect

  • Your health and wellbeing are our priority, and we will support you in accessing teaching wherever possible. 

  • Lecture notes and recordings will be made accessible from Moodle, our online learning environment.

  • Group sessions will take place either online through Microsoft Teams or in-person.
