We can't wait for you to come and celebrate with us. Before you travel, here is all the information you need to plan your journey.

Make sure you check the timing of your graduation ceremony by visiting our ceremony dates and times webpage. We recommend that you arrive on campus at least 90 minutes before your graduation ceremony starts. Late arrivals may not be able to attend the ceremony, so please plan your journey carefully and allow sufficient time.

The graduation ceremonies are held at University Park Campus, ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½.

Travel arrangements

By car | By train | By tram | By bus

By car

When you arrive, follow the signs for graduation and our parking attendants will direct you to the nearest available parking space. Some graduation parking locations may be up to a 15-minute walk away from the venue, so make sure you give yourself enough time and consider wearing comfortable shoes. Once parked, follow the signs to David Ross Sports Village and head straight to check-in and gowning.

Book your parking

To help manage traffic on campus, please book your parking in advance where possible. Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) cameras will be in use on campus, so make sure you have a valid booking to avoid any charges. 

You will be able to book your parking closer to the ceremony date. Full information will be available on this webpage. Booking will be via . You will need to create a login, and we strongly recommend doing this before you arrive. 

Parking spaces

We have several car parks across University Park Campus but only a select number of these will be designated for graduation. Please follow the signs for parking on arrival and our graduation staff will guide you to the designated parking areas.

Accessible parking

If you or a member of your party are a blue badge holder, you do not need to pay for parking.

By train

If you are arriving by train, we suggest you arrive at ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ Train Station, and from there the easiest way to get to University Park is via tram.

You can also get a taxi from the train station. There is a taxi rank on Station Street or you can use Uber or to book a taxi directly. Please select David Ross Sports Village as your destination to ensure you arrive as close as possible to the ceremony venue.

 

By tram

ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½’s tram lines provide direct links to University Park Campus from various points around the city - including ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ Train Station. The closest stop for graduation is the University Boulevard stop. Please remember all tram travel is ‘buy before you board’, so make sure you buy a ticket from the machine at the stop or validate your travel pass before getting on a tram. For more information including tickets and timetables, please visit  

 

By bus

ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½'s bus network is extensive, with frequent services connecting University Park Campus to the city centre, including ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ Train Station.

During the graduation period, ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ City Transport's (NCT) will be running from ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ City Centre onto University Park Campus - the East Midlands Conference Centre stop on Beeston Lane is next to David Ross Sports Village. Alternatively, you can catch the , with stops just a short walk from the graduation venue on Derby Road and Woodside Road. Trentbarton buses can also be used to travel to graduation, with and i4 buses stopping closest to the graduation venue.
