Welcome to your BSc Physiotherapy programme! In order to help you prepare for your course, we have developed a pre-arrival anatomy learning resource for you to work through before you start. 

Part 1 is an introduction to learning anatomy, and gives you insight into the history and art of anatomy. This document also has some simple key study sheets; plus a glossary of terms you will come across while studying physiotherapy. Use this document as an inspiration and an ongoing reference document.

Part 1: Introduction to anatomy

Part 2 is an online interactive anatomy tool to help you on your way to covering the basics of anatomy. The level of learning will be very similar to that in A-level/BTEC, and similar, so this shouldn't be too much of a challenge for you. However, we now want to focus much more on functional anatomy, learning functional groups of muscles is key to becoming a great physiotherapist. For example, "the hip extensors are...".
