Here For You
A structured support system aimed at helping students get the right help at the right time.
The 'Here For You' Team includes:
- Student Advice Coordinator: The Student Advice Coordinator is an experienced staff member who will triage student queries, direct students to the appropriate support services, and provide wellbeing and pastoral support. Appointments are available daily and can be arranged by emailing the Senior Tutor Team at lawseniortutorteam@nottingham.ac.uk.
- Academic guides: Academic guides are academic members of staff 'on call' during the week in term time and students are encouraged to book one to one meetings to help further their studies and answer non-module-specific academic queries (for example help with module choices or revision technique) by emailing the Senior Tutor Inbox (lawseniortutorteam@nottingham.ac.uk).
- Peer guides: Fellow undergraduate students deliver weekly 'drop in' sessions where students can come and discuss any aspect of university life. They also work on projects to nurture a sense of community within the student cohort.
Upon joining the School of Law all students are added to the 'Here For You' Moodle site. This page contains details about the services on offer and where students need to go to ensure their issues are quickly resolved.
